Group Pilates classes are an enjoyable and affordable way to experience Pilates exercise and are suitable for uninjured people wanting the general health and fitness benefits that Pilates provides. These classes last for one hour each and are taught by experienced, highly trained instructors.
Mat classes have a maximum of 12 participants. They incorporate safe yet effective exercises using your own body weight and the small Pilates apparatus (magic circles, resistance bands and exercise balls).
Group reformer classes have a maximum of 8 students and incorporate the use of the Pilates reformer for a fun, flowing workout that will challenge and stretch your body in ways it's never moved before!
Circuit classes are limited to 8 people and incorporate the full range of Pilates equipment as well as mat exercises.
Clients new to Pilates must complete one introductory mat Pilates or introductory reformer Pilates lesson before joining the relevant group class. An introductory lesson is not required for students joining pregnancy, yogalates, stretch or relaxation classes. Also, clients with previous Pilates mat or reformer experience can go directly into the appropriate class of their choice.
All of our lessons are open level. Teachers will provide variations on the repertoire suitable for classes of differing abilities. However, group classes are NOT suitable for rehabilitation purposes.
