LEARN TO RUN: 8 WEEK COURSE

Monday 5th February - Saturday 31st March, 2018


Are you new to running or keen to return to it after years off? This 8 week course is designed for you! The program commences Monday 5th February and runs until Saturday 31st March. 

During the course we'll guide you gently and progressively towards the goal of running a continuous 30 minutes (approx. 5km).

Each week you can attend up to 3 running sessions (6am Monday, 6am Wednesday and 7am Saturday).There is also an optional "Pilates for Runners" group class offered at 8am on Saturday mornings. This class incorporates Pilates based mat work to promote recovery, prevent injury and make you a more efficient runner.

All course attendees receive additional complimentary group floor class access to the studio for the duration of their program (you attend any of our group floor, barre or boxilates classes during your 8 weeks at no additional cost!). 

Enrollment in the full 8 week course (with access to 3 x weekly running sessions, 1 x weekly Pilates for Runners) is $312. At less than $10/lesson this is great value! PLUS you'll receive complimentary access to all Pilates Mat and Barre classes at the studio for the duration of your course. 

Existing studio members with group floor class access can access the course at no charge as a complimentary inclusion on their membership.

The MELT Method® Workshop

Back by popular demand after our last two MELT Workshops sold out…

The MELT Method® (MELT®) is a simple system of  myofascial release techniques that you can use yourself at home or incorporate into your Pilates lessons. Just 10 minutes of MELT three times a week is all you need to begin reducing the effects of accumulated tension and stress caused by daily living.


MELT reduces neck & shoulder tension as well as stiffness in your back and other joints of the body. It will help you stay healthy, youthful and active for a lifetime.

Managing Diastasis for Pilates & Barre Teachers

2-4pm Saturday 20th January, 2018


This 2 hour session with Polestar senior educator Elizabeth Wilson will provide a detailed review of the causes, prevention and management of diastasis recti (abdominal muscle separation) in pre and post-natal clients. It will reinforce and go deeper into topics touched upon in your undergraduate teacher training to ensure you can safely and competently manage clients with this condition. Highly recommended for all Pilates and barre teachers!
